defining a parent directory for shared types led tcs to create a wrong tree structure in lib
importing functions types from the front caused compilation errors (did not spend too much time on this) due to the fact that files in functions were trying to be compiled when building the front (not needed)

We need to choose the best approach to solve this and:

pls mind checking that hot-reloading for functions code when using the emulators locally still work after the refactor
