At a minimum, this API needs to be able to track the number of pushups that are done so that it can be used by RepCounter.
As this is about burning calories, when designing the solution be sure to consider #15, which relates to caloric intake.
As further enhancements, consider:
my standard exercises; pushups, inclined pushups, situps, squats, jogging, and biking
custom (user defined) exercises
automatically computing the number of calories burned. e.g. POST the number of pushups that are done, then GET on the same data will return the number of calories burned based on user's most recent weight measurement
manually tracking the number of calories burned. i.e. POSTing caloric data from another source (Apple Watch, FitBit, etc).
just straight up using Apple Health to store data. (Impossible to do this and also directly access data server side? What about using FitBit/Google's equivalent to Health Kit?)
