I would suggest trying some other sdl games, and other ioquake3-SDL base games like ioquake3 itself or tremulous etc.
Yep, did that. Also Xonotic 0.7.0 with SDL. Only OpenJK has this issue.
Xonotic isn't using the same code to integrate with sdl as we are though let alone (io)q3 based even at all.
could it be a SDL issue? could SDL 2 be better? my 5 cents question.
We're already using SDL2.
I reported two separate bugs upstream (Mesa):
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68226 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68228
I'll keep this open just in case.
Has this been fixed?
Closing since this hasn't had any activity in a while. Feel free to reopen if it's still important.
Would appreciate it if any other Linux users with the open source Intel drivers could chime in here.
It's specific to OpenJK. There's a very slight but noticeable lag when moving the mouse. In some areas of a map it's more noticeable than others. Generally, the smaller the area the less the lag. I have a consistent 125 fps, so that isn't the issue. I can run other games on decent settings without this sort of lag.
Is this related to OpenJK, SDL, or the Intel Linux driver?
