Screenshots required and more information about your system and such would be useful. JASP? JOSP? JAMP?

The issue occurs with JOSP. I've so far run this only on Gentoo Linux with proprietary nVidia drivers. Here's what it looks like: https://sucs.org/~grepwood/pix/OpenJK/JK2MenuBork.png

Well thats because you aren't actually using OpenJO.

If you use openjk_sp.blahblah it doesn't support JO mode.

The Singleplayer support must be explicitly turned on in your own compile. The prebuilt versions will not include this.
