in / out tags not working

Hi, thanks for this really great package. When adding lines such as this:

@param[in] dat Input data. the [in] / [out] / [in,out] doesn't seem to have the effect I expected - I can't see that it does anything. I might be misusing it... or maybe wasn't implemented?
