In order to compile spheretest for your platform, follow the minetest-specific instructions below.
I also recommend you to get minetest_game
and your favorite mods for the standard minetest experience.
Then, create a file minetest.conf
and add the following lines to it:
planet_enable = true planet_radius = 2 planet_keep_scale = true planet_centrifugal_enable = true planet_realistic_gravity = true movement_gravity = 10 enable_clouds = 0 active_block_range = 4 active_object_send_range_blocks = 4 viewing_range = 400
You can tweak these settings and see how they affect the planet's appearance and behaviour. In the game, create a new world with Mapgen "flat". The planet edges are very glitchy, so anything other than "flat" won't look good. Keep in mind that this is only a technical demo and not intended to be a full-featured game. A demo map and the satellite mod are available in the releases section of this GitHub page.
An InfiniMiner/Minecraft inspired game.
