At different times, it may be useful to whitelist creators as acceptable for the yt-synch integration, even though they do not fit the requirements. One use case is testing or doing demos, in production. It would be good to be able ot update whitelist without restarting system, but not critical. I am not sure what sort of identifier should be used for the channel, I guess there is some youtube ID which can be grabbed from YouTube easily?
