OK, the editor is @ranjanan

dmolina commented 2 years ago

I am sorry, but I do not know why is said that there is not any paper, because in the paper/ directory there is both a paper.yml and a paper.tex with the Latex of the paper. Please, @ranjanan, could you give more information? I will be glad to fix any possible problem, but I have no information about the error. Maybe is because I put in Repository github.com/dmolina/DaemonMode.jl instead of https://github.com/dmolina/DaemonMode.jl/? Thanks in advance for your work. Best regards, Daniel Molina

@dmolina I tried compiling your paper at this link: https://whedon.theoj.org/preview?id=81e413a136f33fd04c487034. I got the following error message:

Your paper failed to compile with the following errors:

Try putting those files in the paper folder?

dmolina commented 2 years ago

Thank you, @ranjanan. I have no idea which was the problem. I am going to fix it in a few days (now my computer is broken and I have to recover these files from the backup). Thank you for your work.

dmolina commented 2 years ago

Dear @ranjanan, I have already had access to my data and I have just submit the missing files. I hope now it is working, and in other case, please, do not hesitate in contact with me again. Thank you for your work.

dmolina commented 2 years ago

Please, @ranjanan, when you could do it, could you send me the error messages? I will be glad to help you, but without more information, I do know how to help you. Thanks in advance.

ranjanan commented 2 years ago

I don't have any error messages on my end. I am seeing exactly what you are seeing, which is what makes this hard to debug :-). Are you able to compile the paper locally, with the instructions on the README: https://github.com/JuliaCon/JuliaConSubmission.jl?

dmolina commented 2 years ago

Thanks you for the quick answer. Yes, however I am going to try some changes (like moving all external files to the same directory instead of test/ directory). I will check also the instructions, I will reply you when I think the error could be fixed (I guess it will be tomorrow of next day) Thanks you for your time.

ranjanan commented 2 years ago

Yes, I would move all external files to the paper directory if any, given this earlier error. And I would compile locally and debug. Thanks again, keep me posted!

ranjanan commented 2 years ago

@dmolina just checking in.

dmolina commented 2 years ago

Sorry for the delay, I have also updated the results in time from Julia 1.5 to Julia 1.6. I have submitted a new version with local files (to avoid possible error with the different directories). Also, I have replaced several characters that could give problems due to the encoding. Please, check it again.

@dmolina just checking in.

@dmolina would you mind reusing the template again? Just to reflect recent changes. Just to see if we get the same error.

dmolina commented 2 years ago

Dear @ranjanan, I have just update the template, in particular there was several differences in the bibliography template. I have update my version (and check it is running locally). Please, check it again, and thank you for your work.

@dmolina can you fix these two lines https://github.com/dmolina/DaemonMode.jl/blob/master/paper/paper.tex#L516 ? Put them in the paper folder and refer to them locally
