Hello Team 1, @ctousmayol @JulietteB-cri @lanjrik

Congratulations on completing the task for Session III. ~It is a bit of a pity you did not complete the task in time (the zenodo link was added to the document at 8:40 on Saturday by Juliette). Google Docs have full activity log - so we see who did what and when 😈.~

This task was not graded - it was a warmup for the main project. Deadlines in the main project will be strictly enforced~, so next time, please do not leave stuff for the last minute.~

Well done Team 🎉

There are, however, several things that you could improve:

Feel free to reply here on the issue with your own feedback and questions you had in which I and @gedankenstuecke can help!

PS. Remember to close the completed GitHub issues!

Indeed Zenodo says you have submitted on Friday - @JulietteB-cri @ctousmayol - I guess it's just the Google Doc did not get updated.

JulietteB-cri commented 3 years ago

Yes, I think it didn't synchronize...:(

rejsmont commented 3 years ago

no worries - you are excused! But please next time pay attention to these things! In some places, people don't care about technical difficulties.

Well done! I just wanted to add a tiny detail that @rejsmont missed: You didn't actually upload your data into Zenodo but rather just the report! Ideally your GitHub and Zenodo archive should both have these two files:

You did great either way, but if you wanted to fix this you could try to add the data file to Zenodo too and make a new release of your Zenodo project (that way you'll see how it also generates different versions 🙂 )

Thank you for the comments and remarks to improve our work!! 🤓

After several failed attempts to link the project to Zenodo and GitHub, we ask for your help! @JulietteB-cri tried to link them following the tutorial, but it seems that there's a new version of the project in Zenodo after trying it, nothing else... How can we check that it is or it isn't linked?

Thanks in advance,

Team 1

Hey! I had a look and actually Zenodo gives me currently an error message when I try to do anything GitHub related 😂

In any case: I think you might not be able to link a github repository to Zenodo after you already created the Zenodo project. I think it only works when creating a new Zenodo project from scratch (judging from https://guides.github.com/activities/citable-code/)

In any case: Don't worry too much about it right now but rather use the time for the research question exercise for tomorrow 🙂

Hello, Thank you for your answer and for your feedback! Here is the new Zenodo created (yesterday) and linked with our Github https://zenodo.org/record/4185016#.X6GteohKg2w :)
