RD-105/109 wide vernier setting is not wide enough #216

As the title says. The wide verniers should be wide enough to stick out of the sides of the Vostok upper stage, as demonstrated here. image

In reality, the wide verniers are just barely not wide enough to stick out of the sides of the spacecraft, as this screenshot demonstrates: image

They should be sticking to about 2.55m, and not 2.4m. The Block E upper stage up until Vostok's Service Module was 2.47m wide, which means that the Vernier should be sticking out much wider. Also it should be placed higher, as it is positioned far too low into the engine.

They also should be facing inwards, and as suggested by the discussion at #pap-part-mods the way the engine gimbals should possibly be changed. image
