In accordance with #34, current basic dialogue should be updated to reflect the game concept of corruption and healing. Likewise, readables should be updated where applicable too.

Start in the monestary basement. After healing the corruption of the shade down there with you, they offer the intro to your abilities and who you are. Proceed to cleanse out the entire monestary and garden before heading into the world.
