Could not write to \system32\drivers #30

When I double-click driver_install.bat, I'm given a UAC prompt (which I accept), but then the cmd window just says

Could not write to \system32\drivers
Press any key to continue . . .

The result is the same even if I run driver_install.bat with admin privileges in the first place.

I just realised, maybe it's significant that I'd already installed Interception beforehand?

That doesn't seem to have been enough for interGUI to work right though; launching it changes my mouse tracking, but changing the numbers doesn't affect anything, and quitting restores my previous settings again...

oh hey for what it's worth, I just realised that I was misunderstanding the UI -- it's supposed to stop interfering when I quit, and changing the numbers wasn't affecting anything because hitting preview only changes the graph, and hitting 'save' changes the actual movement. My bad, I hadn't read the instructions.

So, the original problem still exists: I get an error when I run the installer or the uninstaller. But in hindsight, that must just be because I had Interception already installed... Leaving the issue open because it might be helpful to have something that would check for that, but at least it's working now :)
