The Royal Hardware Solutions Company Sales Analysis dashboard is a sophisticated data management tool designed to address the challenges encountered by a prominent supplier of computer hardware and peripherals. Leveraging insights from two SQL files, this project aims to provide actionable intelligence for navigating the complexities of a dynamically growing market. Royal Hardware Solutions serves a diverse clientele, including Surge Store, Nomad Stores, Excel Stores, and Electrical Sara Stores, operating across various regions in India.

Problem Statement

Royal Hardware Solutions faces the challenge of optimizing sales operations in a rapidly evolving market landscape. The sales director identified the need for enhanced decision support and automation to unlock previously unseen sales opportunities and streamline data gathering processes. With the aim of improving sales performance and adapting to market dynamics, the project seeks to empower key stakeholders with timely and actionable insights.

    Data Sources

• SQL Files: Two SQL files serve as the primary data sources for the dashboard, containing crucial information about sales transactions, client details, product inventory, and market dynamics.

Steps followed

• Step 1 : Load data into Power BI Desktop, dataset is a csv file.
• Step 2 : Open power query editor & in view tab under Data preview section, check "column distribution", "column quality" & "column profile" options.
• Step 3 : Also since by default, profile will be opened only for 1000 rows so you need to select "column profiling based on entire dataset".
• Step 4 : Clean the data by removing null values, unwanted columns and errors.
• Step 5 : when It was observed that in none of the columns errors & empty values were present load the data.

KPIS Performed

• Years: Data spanning from 2017 to 2020, broken down by months.
• Total Revenue: Sum of revenue generated over the specified period.
• Sales Quantity: Total quantity of products sold.
• Revenue by Market: Breakdown of revenue generated by different market segments.
• Sales Quantity by Market: Distribution of product sales across various market segments.
• Top 5 Customers: Identification of the top five customers based on sales revenue.
• Top 5 Products: Recognition of the top five selling products.
• Six-Month Revenue Graph: Visualization of revenue trends over six-month intervals
