It would be nice to have the option to always merge before installing and merge those already installed, showing the amount of space you will save before doing this would be wonderful

do you mean you want itemzflow to merge a game update to the base game pkg when you install it? or do you mean have an option to dump both the base and update and have them be in the same folder?

Unpacking the game and the update, and merging the two, creating a new pkg which will have reduced size, like pkgripper does (because some games have duplicate files in the update pkg, so if the game is 30GB and the update is also 30GB in this situation if you merge the two it will generate a single pkg with 30GB) https://github.com/enriquesomolinos/pkgRipper
