GPUs paused to check LHR lock continuously while dual mining ETH+TON on Windows #1085

On Windows, miner says every minute;

Therefore, GPU is not utilized during pausing, mining stops and speed fluctuates.

Anyone having same problem?

  • Gpu will be paused again for clean dual mode calibration
  • Gpu will be paused to make sure it is unlocked

Which OC do you have? Are you using Fix Core and PL to 100% in MSI Afterburner?

I use,

Core MHz -> +50 Memory -> +1200 PL -> 90 Temp -> 83

GPU voltage unlocked but I have not played with core voltage. Do you know the possibly correct OC values on Windows?

I have the exact same problem - Windows, 3080ti, Core lock @ 1500 via Nividia-smi, memory + 1500 and PL 104% via MSI.

Lolminer is stuck in an endless loop of 'Unlocking and reducing'. I did it all night. I've tried different core locks. It's annoying.

Lock Core to 1200 Check you are not having Memory Throlling temps... ETH+TON generate more heat, FAN 100% you can check that with GPU-Z

Drivers 472.12 are normally the best

Also we found that sometimes GPU direct to the MOBO needs Gen2 in Bios

At locked core 1200 Lolminer doesn't recognise that my card is LHR. It runs at 57MH/s Eth and 2.5GH/s Ton at 275 watts.

I did have it previously running at 79 Mh/s Eth and 1.75GH/s Ton at 330 watts.

Strangely they are both equally profitable so I guess I'll stop complaining.

Just annoying that my 3080 FHR card gets a lovely 101.7MH/s Eth and 1.8GH/s Ton at 325 watts....

Try to play with the core... remember to wait 1 minute before rerunning to be sure card is unlocked

Same problem. Core clock locked to 1200MHz with Afterburner (lolminer's own --cclk doesn't lift the lock after miner shutdown so it's invonvenient). 1.43 is in constant 'LHR detected, pausing' loop, 1.42 mines alright, other miner clients do too, thermals are alright (70°C on core, 90°C on vram). RTX3070 Ti 511.23, Win 10 20H2.

I've found that letting the miner think the card is not LHR is just fine. 3080ti sweet spot is 1350 core lock, 1500 mem. Getting 64.4 MH/s Eth and 2.8 GH/s Ton. 293 watts. The trick is to start the card with a low core clock <1200 to make it think the card is not LHR, then to up the core when it's stable.
