Since no one answers me on my old topic, I've decided to create a new one. My problem is that whenever I try to start Rocksmith, it crashes a few seconds after I've started it. To add some more information, I am using an audio interface and RS asio, if that helps. Please help, it drives me nuts.

First make sure that you are on the latest version (1.2.7.3) and then pPlease attach (fresh) mdmps if you have any in the folder

thedwarf007 commented 1 year ago

I am on the latest version and I don't have mdmps in my folder.

We can't really do much without dumps, unfortunately. Have you perhaps upgraded your CPU recently?

thedwarf007 commented 1 year ago

No, I haven't. Can you tell me where exactly this file may be? I will try to find it.

Lovrom8 commented 1 year ago

If there is any, it will be in the root RS folder where Rocksmith2014.exe is. Though not every crash generates a dump and that sucks :/

I can send the xinput1_3.dll and RSMods_debug.txt files if that can help.

If there's no crash dump, it's likely that the crash occurs before xinput loads as the whole crash dump process is done inside the Steam dll, which is loaded before xinput. So I'm afraid that we can only guess what's wrong, especially since it may not have anything to do with what we do inside xinput

Well, the interesting thing is, that the game doesn't crash every time when I launch it. It happens randomly and crashes after it's on the start menu then, it makes some kind of buzz and the game closes itself. Maybe the crash file may help?
