Currently, I have a manual list I use, which I should upload to CartoDB. These could be automatically generated from one of the metadata tables.

Actually, the easiest fix here might be to store a list of datasets on NomDB, and then pull the scientificname/latin/binomial column from each of those datasets. That punts the question of list maintenance right out of the hands of the vernacular name data managers.
