Installing Xen-HTML causes dock to "hide" #313

Open dunnmj42 opened 3 years ago

Describe the bug

Installing Xen-HTML causes Dock to disappear, have tried disabling any tweaks that affect the dock or homescreen spacing. Changing pages causes the dock to reappear until the homescreen is reloaded. Invoking Vesta from the dock gesture (when it's enabled) also causes the dock to reappear. The dock also doesn't appear in the homescreen preview found in Xen-HTMLs settings.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Have my exact tweak, app, and homescreen setup
  2. Install Xen-HTML hoping to add widgets to homescreen
  3. Above issue occurs.

Expected behavior

For my dock to behave normally.

System Info

Additional context

Disabling Homeplus Pro (the tweak I use to adjust icon spacing) did not solve my issue, but doing so also did not appear to reset my icon spacing. Ultimately, if using Xen-HTML will require me to remove homeplus, I likely won't do that, especially because I will need it to position icons around the widgets I was hoping to install.

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce this issue with only Xen HTML installed. You've likely got a tweak conflict going on somewhere, and without knowledge of your exact setup there's not really a way for me to investigate.

By the dock "hiding", do you mean the background disappears, but icons remain visible? If so, that should be controllable in the Homescreen settings of the tweak.

As for the preview when setting widgets, I just didn't add the dock there. The preview is generated manually by me reading your icon layout, and then placing icons in a reasonable location to emulate the Homescreen.

@Matchstic When I say the dock hiding, I mean the background and the icons on it. With Xen HTML enabled, I can't get any of it to display at all, it completely disappears.

Would having my tweak list be helpful or is that moot?

Is there any other sort of diagnosis I can do on my end to sort out what is causing this?

Thanks.

Having the tweak list would be helpful, but I'm not in much of a position to do anything with it. The most I can do is suggest disabling certain tweaks with educated guesses based on your list. Better than nothing, though!

I don't do anything inside Xen HTML that could cause the entire dock to disappear, which is why I think it would be something else doing it.

I exported my app list from Zebra, but it's 7 pages long, as much of it is base stuff I'm assuming. I don't expect you to go through it, but here it is:

I have tried disabling and even uninstalling a few tweaks that interact with the homescreen and/or the dock in various ways. The only consistency is that enabling Xen HTML disappears the dock, until I swipe to the next homescreen page, which brings it back in the limited way I described. My plan when we (hopefully) get a iOS14 jb for my device is to start from scratch and install Xen HTML earlier in the setup so if something conflicts with it I can isolate it better, but I'm not sure that I'll do that until then. If you do end up looking at my list and have any ideas or insight I'd appreciate it, but again, I don't expect it.
