Based on the feedback from Mike and Matt in this GalSim PR: https://github.com/GalSim-developers/GalSim/pull/1000 It sounds like it would be wiser to keep the GalSim module separate, probably hosted inside this repo, but then it means we need a non stupid name for this repo as people will have to import it if they want to use these features.
How about CMU GalFlow (I like the CMU branding of stuff :-) ), import galflow. IDK. I'm not good with names....
