YouTube Swap Layout

This add-on edits the style of the YouTube page when playing a video to resemble the layout from before the layout update of 2024. However, the style will not be exactly the same.

Installation

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Set "mainfest_version": 2 in the file mainifest.json
  2. Open Firefox Browser
  3. Open page "about:debugging"
  4. Click "This Firefox"
  5. Click on "Load Temporary Add-On"
  6. Select manifest.json

Google Chrome:

  1. Set "manifest_version": 3 in the file manifest.json
  2. Open Chrome Browser
  3. Open page "chrome://extensions"
  4. Activate "Developer mode"
  5. Click "Load unpacked"
  6. Select folder with manifest.json
