disk drive problems #13

I never owned a Amstrad/Schneider CPC. But I wanted to get an impression, what I missed back in the days.

To format a disk, I started CPM2.2 Then I started DISCKIT3, following the manual. But formatting failed on both disk drives. P1030431 P1030432 P1030433 P1030434

At the end I could not leave DISCKIT3 at all (see last pic). I had to reset the computer

Am I doing something wrong? Or is it not appropriate to use CPM or several CPM commands?

formatting is not supported in implemented uPD765 if i remember right. You have to use pre-made empty disk.

Everything else including complete CPM should work? Or does a list with other core limitations exist?

I didn't use CPM much besides try to load.
