Thanks for the bug report! That was unintentional; "Separate Borders" should change the color of the union members. I have this fixed locally now, and will include it for 0.9.0, which should be released in a week or 2. For now, I do not plan on releasing a 0.8 hotfix.
I'll let you know when this is fixed in main
, so you can run the in-development version if you want
@ggzola this is fixed in main
, but warning: there are some major changes to how the maps are rendered as well. Performance should be generally improved, but some of it is WIP
If you don't mind sharing, I'm curious how you came across this project?
The repo was shared by someone in a Stellaris multiplayer discord server, I forget which one.
Thanks for getting back to me, this is an awesome project! I use it for my university campaign I run. I've been playing around with settings and Ive made a cool defcon looking map. Going to use it to make battle plans with my federation. Can't wait for the time lapse feature!!
No problem. That's an interesting use-case I hadn't considered. Thanks for sharing!
In a prior version, it was possible to have separate borders for federation members, joined borders for subjects, and have all of them be the same color. There were thicker borders between members and thin borders between subjects and their overlord. I have an example image.
In v0.8.0, when I have settings of separate members and joined subjects Federation members do not have the same color. When I use the union setting preset it uses joined for both and I can't distinguish between member and subject. Joined member and none for subject makes it work but then I can't tell who owns what subject. Currently there is not difference in map behavior between separate and none for federation union members, except for adding additional stars for overlords.
Hoping to see if there is a setting to get similar result like the image i included, or if a fix or revert is possible. I really like the new metro and wormhole features, and would not like to revert to an older version. Thank you and great work, I love this tool so much!
