Prevent people from spamming the same server using alt accounts with /ad #890

Servers like GMINI and Marvelgens Spam the chat with alt accounts and all you see these days is their servers in chat. Its hard to find ACTUAL good servers because all you see is their servers

My suggestion to combat these spammers is to not allow people to not let people ad a servers thats already been advertised in the last 2 minutes. As an example. If someone did /ad Minehutserver, it would let them, but if someone else did /ad Minehutserver right after someone else advertised it within a span of 2 minutes. it wouldnt let them. This would help prevent people spamming the chat with alts.

I as a small server creator dont agree. I run perodupe. Sometimes its only me and the staff online. If this comes true it will make it hard for smaller servers to get active. Plus we just use our alts [we bought with real money]. I just go on my alt and do the command after we got no players. It helps smaller servers to get bigger. Plus, That would mean someone that really wanted to advertise the server could not. It could be per IP but that would stop my first point. Thank you for reading my response.

I like this idea, even tho it's a disadvantage for my server I would like this adv disaster to stop! What if they used IP checking? Thanks

  1. you didn't use the template, so it will likely be closed by a Writer.
  2. This is a really good idea, so per-user cooldown and per-server cooldown. No more alts for you :)
