Searching protein id(s) no longer works #249

Steps to reproduce the bug:

  1. Go to ^/search page
  2. Select Protein ID radio button
  3. Enter a protein id in the text field
  4. Click on the Search button to the right of the text field
  5. Notice that no results or response being returned
