Hi! I am Cory, your instructor for this course. I am Assistant Professor in Game Design and Interactive Media here at the University of Montana in Missoula. I live in the mountains with my partner and 2 young children. Aside from being a creative technologist, game designer and educator, I am a nature enthusiast, backpacker, rock climber and amateur botanist. I look forward to working with you all this semester!

I am originally from Louisiana and currently live at the University Villages here in Missoula. I have been here in Missoula for 8 years. I am a long-time traditional artist and am in the program to bring my skills in design, illustration, and creative writing into the digital world. I'm currently working as a graphic design intern at a marketing agency so I'm really hoping this class will help me for future projects there as well as in my career. Hello! I'm Jared, I am a Criminology major. I recently decided to return to school to finish my bachelor's degree, and previously attended UM shortly out of High School. I currently work in law enforcement in Miles City, MT where I live with my wife and two corgis. My interest in digital arts, and video games has grown as of recent. I am eagerly awaiting parts to assemble my first PC. I don't know the first thing about web design, but through my job I have become involved in several different avenues for fundraising and community improvement. I hope I may learn some skills to assist in continuing some of those endeavors.

Hey Jared. Thank you so much for your work in law enforcement. That is a tough job, especially in the current world climate. Just know that you are appreciated and we thank you for your care and concern for our safety as citizens. I am excited for you and your first PC. I remember building my first, then taking it apart immediately when I realized I didn't use thermal paste. /facepalm I hope you are able to find all you are looking for in this class and more. BG3 is a very addictive game. I myself am more of a Final Fantasy gal, but have delved a bit into BG3 and before I knew it I had spent like 6 hours on it. Not sure how it happened lol

Howdy! My name is Sam Yoxsimer. I grew up near Denver and am finishing my last semester here at UM with a degree in Parks Tourism and Recreation Management. Growing up, I was not exposed to any computer science learning and I feel that in adulthood I am lacking in some of the technical computer skills that are so important in the modern workforce. While work in the Forestry department gave me the opportunity to learn and explore practical applications of GIS, I am hoping that learning some of the basics of web design will give insight into another very useful computer skill.
