Currently (v0.1.0), the extension does not make itself available to VS Code running in a browser as this was not a target for the first release.
Consider making the changes required and, if need be, force the user to choose a location before displaying any details.
One idea hear would be that if location is empty, display something like "Weather: click to configure" on the toolbar and have that open settings or prompt for a location when clicked. After configured, the display will refresh to the new information.
