What is the issue ?
Decide what form db records will exist on local computer which has digi app loaded and how we will archive those records and move them off the local computer. Is it possible to automate this?
Why is needed/relevant ?
We need an automated system with minimal involvement by the digitiser, where records are moved to (presumably) the N drive (if this is the best place for them) and when successfully moved, removed from local computer so as not to have multiple copies and to ensure that does not use up storage space on local computer.
Estimate level of effort required.
Requires input from development team
What is the expected acceptable result.
Fully automated system where records are automatically moved from local computer to a central place (with back up) where the files can be accessed for ingest to Specify and local copies deleted.
How to approach it?
Give a clear approach/potential solution on how to resolve it.
What steps would be required to do this ?
It might also be an idea to put some pseudocode if relevant
