Allow upgrading armor at the tailoring mirror #100

I LOVE the new tailoring mirrors. I do. In no way am I asking to turn leather into plate.

But I would I would love to be able to go from wearing say banded mail, have it look exactly the way I want.... but if I find a suit of plate I like and can use, be able to transfer to that at the tailor so I only have to adjust the chest piece to have the look transferred to the plate. Right now, every time I have upgraded.... and being a new char... I have gone from splint to half plate and half plate to full plate.... I have had to start the look from zero.

From now on it's fine, but it really would be helpful to new characters.

But... a suit of plate can't look the same as banded mail!

Even in the editor, armours have specific looks tied to their AC

That's not what I'm saying.

I have a pair of banded mail. I have the look of the forearm, bicep, neck, thighs, shins, shoulders, belt, pelvis.... The colors... All the way i want.

I find a suit of platemail i can use.

Under the old system, i could copy the banded mail to the model, then put on the plate i want to change, and only adjust the chest plate on the model, then copy it over to the plate mail I found. Saves a ton of time in having to select everything all over again.

Under the current system, if i am changing armor types, i have to go through the process of selecting the look of every section, the colors and everything.

We are aware of some improvements to be made around armor/torso. For the release we went with a conservative approach in order to actually get it out there, and handling AC differences was a key consideration on whether to hold back for further upgrades or to go ahead.

At the very least in the meantime you can take a screenshot of all of the part numbers and then apply them to the new one.

Note: The reason AC is quite weird on armor is because the torso/chest appearance model literally dictates what base AC it is. All armor is just "armor" and it figures out Base AC/Max Dex/Skill Penalty all based on the appearance of the chest-part.

We just needed a bit more time to make sure any potential fallout (Such as the correct Cost to charge, since changing baseAC changes the base item price) has been properly considered. For interests sake, the Gladiator Armor (which could always change it's BaseAC type) can still do so in this new version! So it's certainly possible... Just gotta make sure we think out any exploits.

Copy that. Just wanted to make sure it was being considered is all. Thanks!
