The selection of undead for this spell, which is 6th circle for clerics and 7th circle for wizards is extremely off-the-wall terrible.
A level 6 ghoul with +6 to attack and around 45 HP is of no conceivable use to a level 11 character beyond a very spellslot-expensive way to disable traps - and of course, the Summon spell of the same tier, also temporary, brings in a dire tiger.
ideally, the selection would be picked from the undead one actually meets at the aforementioned levels - perhaps a half-orc vampire or a greater ghoul, and going up from there.
