Players that use asterisks will often find themselves suddenly eating dirt when they have "rests" in their emote, or a casual typo (sits off to the side instead of spits off to the side). While this has its funny moments, it's also just generally disruptive and actually interrupts combat actions, if people are trying to roleplay during combat, which can cause trouble.
Not all of us use asterisks. It'd be nice if I could sit without breaking style just to make the emote.
