Another aspect I struggle with for the forge: why restrict the number of properties on any items to 3? Again, there are item level restrictions ... we should be able to put as many properties as we can fit within those limits onto what we forge.

Putting the screws on us to reduce the strength of the properties, the number of properties, AND the level of the item is just overkill and is unnecessary.

I don't mind the item level limit, but that should be the extent of the restrictions. There is no need to further restrict the strength of the properties and/or the number of properties.

The item level is enough and solves all the problems on its own.

Specifically, I was disappointed to find I can't enchant a Rapid Reload, less so on a crossbow - something that would make both IC and OOC sense. So yes.

Not to mention it would solve the problem of using gems to enchant when you are just trying to increase power of an existing enchantment but something goes wonky because there are three properties.

But I agree...let ILR be the only limit.
