Mounted Paladins rebalancing #96

The mounted paladin mobs are egregiously bad. Their AC is extremely high, and you can often end up just fighting them for whole minutes slowly critfishing to do an ounce of damage to them. If you're lucky your AC is also ludicrously high and it's just a matter of standing there and waiting for who crits first. This is even worse when they have damage reduction.

Alright, so run away, right?

Issue with that is that they're either somehow not wearing full plate while having such a ludicrously high AC, or the speed debuff that players are saddled with simply don't affect them. If you try to ride away from a paladin mob you'll just give them ample opportunity to get off 10+ attacks of opportunity on you.

Either nerf their very high AC, or at least give people an opportunity to out-ride them and give them the same speed debuff players wearing full plate would have.

100%. Please. I think I even brought this up in another post.

"Mounted paladins should have their AC reduced. They are singlehandedly the most frustrating mob on the server to fight, especially for any character that is not a powerbuilt combat specialist with maxed out gear (and even at level, with buffs, I have encountered some that still require a natural 20 to hit, but as paladins, they have multiple heals and will outlast my buffs - it's literally better to just walk away from them and not even waste the time)." https://github.com/NWNThayPW/ThayPublicSuggestions/issues/24

If we're talking about frustrating mobs... I'd be more significantly for removing Baleful Polymorph from mob spellbooks (or fixing it) because that spell is A Problem, given that it effs up one's stat bonuses in a way that renders you nonviable until you reequip or relog - at this, it's worse than bebilith's rend armour.

I ran into it once more today and was extremely lucky I managed to snail's pace run away and relog in the next area.
