The README screenshot shows beautiful chevrons for the collapsible sections, however after installing I just see v characters used instead. I do use nerdfonts and everything else in my nvim renders as it should, except neogit.
I found the same issue in a youtube video from March 2024:
❯ v --version
NVIM v0.10.0
Build type: Release
LuaJIT 2.1.1716656478
Run "nvim -V1 -v" for more info
Operating system and version
macOS 14.5
Steps to reproduce
return {
{
"NeogitOrg/neogit",
dependencies = {
"nvim-lua/plenary.nvim", -- required
"sindrets/diffview.nvim", -- optional - Diff integration
-- Only one of these is needed, not both.
"nvim-telescope/telescope.nvim", -- optional
-- "ibhagwan/fzf-lua", -- optional
},
config = true,
keys = {
{
"<leader>gn",
function()
require("neogit").open()
end,
{ desc = "Open Neogit" },
},
},
},
}
Expected behavior
Should render chevrons correctly
Actual behavior
Uses v and > characters instead
