Your report contains too little information

You sent in a bug report that contains little to no information and is therefore not useful.

When you send in a report, provide all information that could be useful to us in the first report. Don't send in a one line report "it don't work" and expect us to ask you personally for added information, that's a waste of time and it would require you have a github account.

Just take a minute or two to provide as much information as you can, this improves the chance of getting the problem fixed a hundredfold.

Every bug report needs to contain

• Does the error happen every time or was it only once
• What are you doing (ideally with a step-by-step that triggers the issue)
• What happens (in as much detail as you can)
• What did you expect to happen

Depending on the situation these things are often useful

• log files
• screenshots (if there is anything to see)
• application state

If the bug refers to mods, always include the name of the mod, the exact version and variant and a link.

If the bug refers to a file on your system (something like "savegame can't be parsed", "ini file can't be read") - include the file in your report.

In general: use some common sense. Include whatever you think might help us find the problem.

We usually can not fix issues that we can't see for ourselves and even when we can we can't verify if the fix works so sending a bug report that demands we just "trust you" on something doesn't make sense, whether we trust you or not doesn't matter. If we can't verify a bug exists we can't verify when it's fixed.

THe most likely reason is that files were locked by external applications so please ensure no other application has a mod file open, then repeat deployment." I don't even know what this means or how to fix it. And I have already tried Google. This could be some kind of new widespread problem. I hope this gets resolved soon. :)

I am able to download and install mods to The Witcher 3 but whenever I start the game, none of the mod effects are present.

Their Gamebryo Plugin Indexlock was failed and the Plugin Management failed. They fixed it by enabling which fixed the Indexlock. However my Indexlock is in the failed status but the Management is enabled and fine. I messed around and reset the client a few times with no results. Indexlock is always in the failed status even though the Management is fine.

Vortex Version: 0.18.9 Memory: 15.95 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.17134) hi slight problem vortex is currently unable to download mods useing the mod manager link on nexusmods i can manually download and after manually importing and install a few mods through vortex it will download but i have to repeat this procces everytime vortex launches vortex is the default application both in windows and my browser(Firefox) for .nxm and if vortex is not open clicking the link does open it so the file association is correctly done, while not a severe or priority probleme it is quite annoying that vortex cannot perform the main task it is for i've got plenty of experience manually downloading and installing mods from game that have no mod manager and when nmm and mod organiser where not stable enough so it pains me to find that currently NMM actually is only not a better option because it can no longer open the .nxm links

It's like whatever is narrating real life today decided to make things that worked just fine previously to not work right today. The program was seriously better than fine with how amazing it was working. I unistalled a mod, and installed a newer version of it and the crash happened. I had to task manager end task to get my computer to stop making the "ding" error sound everytime I tried to click the program. It was locked up in some sort of cyclic error.

Upon reloading Vortex said game seems avaible for activation but upon selecting and initating activation the same thing happens; loading freezes. After this said game remains in preactiavtion state regardless. This happens to all games.

I hit the rescan button on the tools section and it completely removed Skyrim from my games list and could not detect it again. When I try and manually detect it, it says it cannot find the TESV.exe application. It seems to just ignore its existance, as it is in the file I am having it detect from.
