Epic Game Store Version Not Working #144

seems to work for the steam version of the game and not the epic game store version

Been trying for hours to get this working on the Epic version of Cyberpunk 2077, can confirm its not working for me, managed to get it up and running flawlessly on the Game Pass version of Starfield

So must be an epic game store issue then not being able to change the registry

I don't think its a registry issue, Afaik that change has to be done only once, not for every game you install the mod in, as it just seems to add/toggle 2 different keys to true or false when using the reg files, to enable or disable Nvidia Signature Checks, once its disabled it should work regardless of the game, though i did tried to run this multiple times, and switching back and forth from starfield to cyberpunk to figure out what I was doing wrong, I tried the dlss tweaks version, also tried disabling the epic store overlay and running the game straight from the exe file, btw these are what change in your registry when running the disable nvidia signature check reg file: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global] "{41FCC608-8496-4DEF-B43E-7D9BD675A6FF}"=dword:00000001

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\nvlddmkm] "{41FCC608-8496-4DEF-B43E-7D9BD675A6FF}"=dword:00000001

Well, I tried the CP2077 on Steam - works pretty amazing, same for TW3 on GOG. On the other hand Alan Wake 2 does not work for me. It's the only game of those 3 that I have on Epic Games and it seems like there is an issue with EGS because it works fine with cracked version of the very same game.

I tried all versions of mod, I tried messing around with EGS Overlay and after completely disabling it... guess what. It does not work. We need to search more into EG if we want to find a fix for it.

Agreed because all other platforms seem to work even starfield on Xbox app works

To fix the issue with Epic Games you have to clean those two folders:

\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\Extras\Overlay \Epic Games\Epic Online Services\managedArtifacts\98bc04bc842e4906993fd6d6644ffb8d

Keep in mind, one of those paths may be on another drive. For me the first path was on drive E, and the second on drive C.

I can't find the file named \managedArtifacts. I'm using the Chinese version of the Epic platform.

Seems like in the Chinese version of the Epic path to those files is different. You will have to find location of the overlay manually.

  1. Launch the task manager (ctrl+alt+delete)
  2. Launch Alan Wake 2
  3. Minimize the game
  4. Search for "EOSOverlayRenderer" in the task menager. In my case it looks like this: image
  5. Once you found it, right click on one of them, then select "Open file location"
  6. Go back to your game and close it
  7. Delete all files from the folder
  8. Launch the game once again, frame generation button should now be available to you.

Tried deleting the contents of the Overlay folder it still wont budge, cant find the managedArtifacts folder, in any of the drives, though when running CP2077 and verifying in the task manager the Eos no longer seems to be running

Not really the best solution but applying a crack to epic games like Alan Wake 2. (I own a legit copy) Made frame gen work for me.

Well, I do not really know why is FG not working for you. I tried bunch of things on my PC to get the mod not working, but it just works every time with every version of the mod.

Worked for me once deleting first folder contents never found second folder but not needed i guess

Craziest thing is that its working fine with every other game Ive tested, for some reason CP is the only problematic one

Fsr3 has an increase of up to 50%, which is very awesome.

@Tianxingxs If you experience ghosting in Alan Wake 2, there is a solution for that too.
