what's your system specs? what FPS do you want to play at? why are you so desperate to get banned? NO JOKES HERE

Does this implement FSR 3 in full or combine it with native DLSS?

Nooblet16 commented 8 months ago

For the love of all things that is sensible, stop using modified dlls in competitive MP games with anti cheat people. So many people have been making thread about using this mod on The Finals.

for as far as i understand it is FSR3 frame generation working through Nvidia's DLSS

I followed the steps but there is no option to enable the fg in the finals settings. Using Rtx 2070 max q

I copied both files in the main exe folder of the game and still no frame generation option... .

I hope you understand this:

The reason why not many people who would be able to help you have the first hand experience in The Finals is because not many people who would help you are silly enough to try using .dll injection on a multiplayer game with (presumably) a keen anticheat solution.

I understand it however nukem say that it's equal to play with an old driver. I take the risk, it's a free game so it's doesn't matter if I get banned. i just wanna a try it. Anyone willing to help me ?

Dravic commented 8 months ago

I understand it however nukem say that it's equal to play with an old driver.

Please do not spread dangerous (as in, you'll get people banned in their favorite multiplayer games) misinformation.

Nukem9 has never said that replacing or injecting .DLL files is equal to playing with an old driver. This would be a blatant and malicious lie. Nukem9 doesn't seem like a person who'd say that.

Here's the thread you're referring to:

https://github.com/Nukem9/dlssg-to-fsr3/issues/181

What you're referring to is Nukem9 talking about the nvngx signature check Windows registry tweak. He said that tweak is unlikely to get you in trouble with any anticheat. And he's right. This has nothing to do with the mod itself, though. The nvngx signature tweak is also used by DLSSTweaks.

All Nukem9 said is that you don't have to constantly enable and disable the registry tweak before launching an anticheat protected game. It isn't necessary, that's all Nukem9 meant here.

With that cleared and out of the way: the actual mod is injecting/replacing .DLL files. It can and will most likely get you banned. Just like DLSSTweaks. And Nukem9 said that loud and clear at the very beginning of the thread you're referring to. Why you ignore that is beyond me.

So you can keep the registry tweak enabled at all times but DO NOT put the mod files in anticheat protected games' directories.

In the dll, Nukem is clearly adding/enabling the FG option. That's not a modification. When the game boots it verify the information of your gpu card, if it's an serie 40, the FG option appears if it's a serie 30 or 20 it doesn't appear. Stop saying that's a cheat.

Do NOT use it in the finals.

If you have 120 fps, you don't need frame gen

If you have 60 fps, you don't need frame gen, maybe use dlss balanced or performance

If you have 30 fps, you don't need frame gen, because while the fps might go up to 50, the input lag will be massive and you won't be able to aim

The simple answer: you can't because EAC refuses to load third-party DLLs not signed signatures and not in whitelists. unless you try to bypass EAC, but that is cheating

Dude it increases latency in all games why would you even want to use it in a twitchy fps multiplayer game. The game has anti cheat as mentioned above anyways and if you try to ton evade it, the game will see you as a hacker

The whole idea behind anti-cheats is to prevent people from modifying the game files in a malicious manner. Injecting stuff through .dll, unless very specifically whitelisted, would be a direct assault on the game's file integrity and therefore trigger the anti-cheat.

They won't care whether you believe it's giving you an unfair advantage or not.

See the recent, similar in concept, situation with AMD's official driver team fumbling the ball and trying to hack into esport, anti-cheat protected games to inject Anti-Lag+. "It's just lowering latency!" - anti-cheats don't care. Tons of AMD users got banned for turning on that driver feature. Fortunately for those users this was a very public case and most of the bans were reverted. AMD eventually realized they were being dumb. For now, they wiped Anti-Lag+ feature from existence (and they're probably reworking it as we speak).

这家伙让它在 rtx 卡上工作 决赛 fsr 3.0 https://youtu.be/sab0TsJHZzs?si=q-2CPvYBNPoxBtTo It’s definitely very interesting, but I still think it’s quite risky. Why not just get a new computer? After all, this is an FPS competitive game, and input lag can have a big impact

xiaomanzai commented 3 weeks ago

Compared to The Finals, the newly updated Hunt: Showdown 1896 is even more of a hardware killer. Unfortunately, the developers didn’t include FSR 3. I might really need to take the risk of trying frame interpolation or just get a new computer. My 3060 can barely run this game smoothly; it’s way too laggy.
