Forced vsync through the nvidia control panel

Mar2ck commented 9 months ago

Can confirm it work great in Hitman and it looks way better then I expected.

I was surprised to see that FSR frame generation doesn't actually need FSR upscaling to work which goes against what AMD has been telling us. You can use it with DLSS, XeSS or even no upscaling at all and it still works perfectly.

Also confirmed.

Seems to work well in HITMAN 3.

I have a RTX 3080, gaphics settings maxxed (variable-rate shading disabled, all three Ray Tracing options enabled, HDR enabled) with

and my framerate almost doubled.

I never had any issues with VSync as I always have it Enabled in NVIDIA control panel anyway (and disabled in-game) for GSync.

How ? my option for DLSS FR is greyed out still on my 3070

Mar2ck commented 9 months ago

I know 0.30 works but haven't tested newer versions. You need to put the mod files in the Retail folder

You have to make a registry edit to force the option on. Change DLSSG in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\IO Interactive\HITMAN3 to 1 and it should enable frame gen.

The game works fine but crashes when using the Hitman 3 modding sdk.

Mar2ck commented 9 months ago

@RGB00255 Have you tried using 2.0.0-rc1?

Seems to work well in HITMAN 3.

I have a RTX 3080, gaphics settings maxxed (variable-rate shading disabled, all three Ray Tracing options enabled, HDR enabled) with

  • DLSS On
  • DLSS Quality
  • Frame Generation On

and my framerate almost doubled.

I never had any issues with VSync as I always have it Enabled in NVIDIA control panel anyway (and disabled in-game) for GSync.

I only get about 20-30FPS more in Dubai level (my base FPS is 120). How are you achieving 2x performance? I have 3080Ti and 95% GPU usage here on my end.

Sry it took a while to report back. Building from the latest version and installing that works fine now. I think the only issue I noticed at this point (not with Hitman 3 modding sdk) is with FSR3, I am unable to launch the benchmarking tool.

Sorry mate, only just spotted this.

I'm not sure, could be a few things related to my setup.

When everything was maxxed out at 1440p, with all RTX options ON and without this mod/framegen I was getting 40-70 FPS depending on the scene.

Without RTX my FPS was around 120-140.

Enabling this mod bumps me up to around 120-140 with all RTX options ON, so it already seems like you're better off than me anyway?

I have a 5800X3D CPU and 32GB RAM if that makes any difference.

It works for me, too. But some objects are ghosting/flickering when I move the camera a little fast
