Many designs use stiffener with a variable cross-section. The image below shows a simplified example of a deck girder.
There are different possibilities to model those stiffeners
Upcoming OCX Version should add support for #2 or (#2 and #3).

There are different possibilities to model those stiffeners
1 as a panel (+ flange) (Any system, fully supported in OCX)
2 cut from rolled profiles (e.g. ShipConstructor)
3 as a design short, which is manufactured as #1 or #2 (e.g. NAPA Designer)
