OctarineSourcerer / cyberpunk2020

A FoundryVTT system for Cyberpunk 2020. It's playable now! There's a lot of hole, because there's a LOT of system to cover, but it should be mostly usable <3

Cyberdeck sheet and programs #85

I don't really know how to code for this otherwise I would do it, though the cyberdeck sheet could be either a separate 'character' sheet and programs could be items that you add to it's inventory. I was going to play a netrunner until I saw that it wasn't built in yet.

Ah yes - netrunning's on the list, but it's almost a whole meta-game within the game, so it's been put off for a while. Item sheets for cyberdecks and programs will probably be the first step towards netrunning in this though.

There's another reason why programs haven't been done yet. We're not actually sure what R.Talsorian's stance is yet on having their stats in the module. Black ICE is definitely a no, but there are blurred lines in CP2020 between what is and what isn't.

Anyways, it's genuinely intended to be there eventually! As it stands though, you might need to use the "Misc" item type; it's there for anything we've not yet covered, with the power of Just Text. It'll probably be about as rough as using a paper sheet (if not rougher), but should at least work for now. Sorry for the netrunning delay :(

It’s all good! I was just poking around for a bit and thought maybe give a thought on it in case ya’ll haven’t.

I understand waiting as well. If I manage to find some time to look through some of the code I’ll try to jury-rig something up, not likely to happen though cause I’m a novice at best when it comes to coding.

thabks for getting back to my comments!

I'll be seeing how netrunning goes with a campaign I'm starting to run soon, as far as planning has gone I've just gone with text in the netrunning equipment items' detail tabs. As for the actual netspace places I've so far planned to just use scenes that I can have the party netrunner move in and interact with tokens. So the thing I would most likely want is just to have the programs be a character sheet basically (alongside 'character' and 'npc'), so that it would go along nicely with having tokens and things to go with it.

I've yet to delve too deeply into the code side of things with foundry, but if I end up having enough time and motivation that's not anything impossible. And I'll obviously have more info on how things work once we get going with the campaign
