A comment from a 2016 student: "Go over some of the characters that are critical for using diagnostic keys, as well as providing a list of good keys. I feel like most students did not understand the relevant characters well enough to use them-not sure how this could be done for every order of insect, since there’s such a vocabulary and large amount of time/practice that would be necessary for this. Maybe some sort of handout highlighting the important characters would be helpful. "
