This repository is for educational materials for an upper-level and/or graduate course on insect biodiversity and evolution.
Our intention is to develop these materials collaboratively and distribute them under a Creative Commons (CC) Attribution license (CC BY). As of this writing, however, these materials integrate content licensed under more restrictive CC licenses and copyrighted material used with permission or under fair use. The safest bet is to consider these materials to be CC BY-NC-SA: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/
Files meant for developers/instructors are written with Markdown https://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/syntax#em
Files intended for students are written LaTeX https://www.latex-project.org/
Except that slideshows are currently edited using Google Slides -- https://www.google.com/slides/about/ -- although they might be moved to LaTeX
