Update Day 2 Status to accurately reflect what is happening with the operation #538

Day 2 operations status stays on "Started" even when it immediately errored out due to storage issue. Not a big issue but I assumed everything was running fine until I checked 20 minutes later in the yaml itself to see an error from the start.
