As used on Twitter/Facebook, a Favicon version for the website would be nice too. If/when you get time...

peternewman commented 8 years ago

@dandaka This may appeal to you too, you've probably practically done it already?

dandaka commented 8 years ago

I have this file, do you want it in this repository? I have a source PDF+PNG (512x512), plus all versions from 16px and up. Also I have a gulp file to generate these images, I could also include that.

peternewman commented 8 years ago

I hacked a raster one up in https://github.com/OpenLightingProject/logos/pull/5 .

@DouglasHeriot has subsequently improved it and provided a vector in https://github.com/OpenLightingProject/logos/pull/11

@dandaka I'm inclined to leave the generated files out, unless we did something with submodules to share them across repos, but that doesn't seem to allow subfolders to be targeted. Likewise I'm not sure the gulp script should live in here, ultimately it would be better if it was integrated into the build system used for each web interface.

If files #11 have to be used as favicons / avatars, they could be improved:

  1. Square artboard
  2. Equal padding 1/16 of an artboard (or no padding at all)

Why do you not satisfied with them? @peternewman

peternewman commented 8 years ago

I'd agree with the square aspect @dandaka . What do you mean by the 1/16th padding?

Not satisfied with what @dandaka ? I think the minor non-squareness is my only real issue with it.

dandaka commented 8 years ago

This is the 1/16 padding in favicon:

1-16th

Minor non-squareness is a bug, that should be fixed, if you want to use this file as a favicon.
