I’ll have a look at doing this.
Before I make different versions of it, what do you think?
I’m happy with the ®’s placement, but not sure how big to make it. It really depends on the context of where it’ll be used. Like, on a big poster you can make the ® very small. But on a website or document where the logo will be smaller, it’s difficult.
I think the R should be much smaller. If you look use Google image search for "registered trademark examples" most of the (R) s are fairly small.
See #10
Is it worth a few different vector and raster based versions, with the (R) at different sizes, then people can grab the most appropriate sized one and scale as necessary, depending on what they're using it for.
I assume it's just the full OLA we've (R)ed isn't it @nomis52 ?
Done in #10
Yes, just the OLA logo has the (R)
Oops, closed too soon.
Multiple versions for different scales is a sensible idea. Just kind of need examples of where it’ll be used to pick appropriate scales. (otherwise there’ll be an infinite number of options!)
There’s 3 different registered trademarks I can see:
(Don’t know if these URLs work. Funny system, that says “Please logout when you are done to release system resources allocated for you”)
So do we update the OLA web UI logos @nomis52 , or just leave it for public facing stuff?
The URLs didn't @DouglasHeriot , searching for "open lighting" with the quotes seems to do the trick.
I guess broadly size wise, as a logo on the Web UIs (small; done), within webpages a bit bigger ( https://www.openlighting.org/ola/ ), Facebook and similar headers/banners, finally the print stuff, I guess roughly A4, then posters perhaps (A3/A2)?
Perhaps that's too many already?
Now that the trademark has been issued, we can add a small R in a circle next to the logo - see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Registered_trademark_symbol
