Not really, I'm just quietly hoping you can make something cool of it while it lasts to prove to mojang why its cool.

I agree with Ryan, I don't think we should bother with this until we know how 1.8 will work.

It's tested and working, I'm fine keeping it in until 1.8. However, it might be more work than it's worth. Your call @jedediah.
