This is for reviewing. When a single code line contains multiple sentences, it can be hard for reviewers to call out suggestions or questions with respect to specific parts. Also avoids long horizontal scrolls when viewing raw. The TeX StackExchange suggests limiting line length even further to 80 characters, but that seems unnecessary here since we're not debugging individual lines. If others disagree we can discuss, but I've been doing it in other Markdown documents for a few months and found it helpful.
