Rgis: streamlining GIS operations in R

Installation

remotes::install_github("Pakillo/rgis")

Note: this package depends on package velox, which has been removed from CRAN as of 2020-03-17 (see here for more info). While velox (hopefully) comes back to CRAN, installing rgis will install the latest velox version available on GitHub (0.2.0.9002).

Current functions:

• ungzip: Decompress gzip files.

• fast_extract: Fast extraction of raster values for points and polygons.

• fast_mask: Fast masking of raster values based on another raster or polygon layer.
