For example : I am unsure that these requests match up with the content calendar, which means I am unsure of deadlines as only a few have dates attached to them.
For instance I had one team member today chase me on slack to do something for them - and while I am obvs happy to oblige I just don't want people chasing me up for things.
Here may be our issue
^ how the team currently uses it
This guidance definitely needs refreshing. One question I have which isn't directly answered here is: what's the difference between the Design and Art Requests board?
When I've done blog posts, for example, I've been advised to add them to the Art Requests board so you can do your magic. But at least one of the items above is very definitely a different type of request (website section, not graphics). Would be good to know if I've messed something up here!
Art requests is specifically for @lottiecoxon to create art, for things like blog posts.
The Design board is for the design team to organize things outside of art requests.
Related to this thread: we need a better way to signal priority. Currently blog art is taking a ton of time and other design tasks are suffering. If we can assign some dates to things so we can budget time accordingly, that would be a huge help.
Closing, as this is addressed in #2022
It's come to my attention that while our snazzy new art request process is GREAT - not everyone knows about it/ uses it properly, which is sad.
SO my vote is reviewing the instructions on the handbook as well as potentially asking C-Dog (aka Charles) to spot light it next PH News
