Create a guide in the 'Getting started' section for each major feature in PostHog #4166

After watching some newer users journey through PostHog, and pulling from my own experience, I've noticed that there's a large disconnect between users signing up and later discovering some of the deeper and more advanced features of PostHog. When looking at the fraction of users who have at least tried some of these more advanced features (Toolbar, Feature flags, Experiments, Apps) there's quite a steep drop-off.

Obviously, these features are more advanced than basic analytics and so there will always be some drop-off that's inevitable. That being said, in my own experience before I joined PostHog, there were a number of these features that I didn't discover until I had joined the company, and when I did I was absolutely blown away at how incredible they were. Group analytics was something that I had absolutely no clue existed until I joined, and after discovering it I was somewhat baffled that we didn't emphasize it more since it seems like such a powerful feature.

Another thing I noticed while watching a team use PostHog is that a lot of the smaller features they discovered were by looking at some of the sample insights that we provide (Breakdowns, filtering, ...). I think that providing more samples of simple use cases for all of these features can make a huge difference in helping users discover them.

A way that I think we can get started on this is by expanding the 'Getting started' section with guides on Feature flags, Experiments, Group analytics, Apps that show specific walkthroughs of how to use each feature in a very basic example. Currently, we have the in-depth guides in the manual, but these aren't optimal for users who are just first discovering a feature.

Overall, I think this would allow people to get to those 'a-ha' moments much faster, and provide them with an easier place to start rather than trawling the manual.

Would love to work with you on this if helpful, Paul! It lines up with some of my own thinking after working on the content for the growth checklist too.
