Simplifying pricing by eliminating plans #8196

There are a lot of variables for how customers get charged. Plans, product-specific pricing, add-ons. The thing I really don't love about our current pricing model is you have to pick a plan and learn how we bill individual products. It's an extra step that feels unnecessary.

One way to simplify this (without any underlying billing changes) is to display Teams as an addon instead of a plan.

Here's where everything goes:

  1. Totally free - moves to a tooltip at the top of the page image
  2. Ridiculously cheap - this is all you see in the wire above
  3. Teams - moved to addons
  4. Enterprise - moved to its own section below addons

This leaves out the pricing calculator from the initial view, purely because the page is overwhelming if it's displayed by default. But can be toggled on in-place, after you've gotten your bearings on the page.

This makes the difference between Totally free and Ridiculously cheap more confusing. What upgrade do I need to access insight subscriptions?

more confusing

This is available on Ricidulously cheap, right? So this would be a non-basic product feature. (We'd still have a full table comparison of everything somewhere.)
